A homeland security officer was arrested this week after he allegedly beat his wife and threw her into a toilet, according to police reports.
In a series of text messages to her family, David B. R. Davis told his wife, Marlene, that she was a “piece of shit,” according to the arrest report.
Davis, 46, was charged with domestic violence, aggravated assault, criminal trespass and interfering with police.
Davis allegedly threw Marlene into a garbage can, choked her and threatened to kill her, the report said.
The victim suffered injuries to her face, neck, head and legs, the arrest affidavit said.
Davis had been with the department since 2014.
A police report did not specify the number of times the domestic violence occurred.
Davis has been suspended without pay and is due in court in December.
A federal judge said in August that Davis had a history of domestic violence.
