The Last season of Homeland has been a big hit with critics and viewers, so it’s no surprise that the show’s creators are already working on Season 3.
“It’s so amazing to me, I don’t even know what to say,” says Homeland writer and director Peter Hitchens.
“I mean, it’s a miracle that we got a second season.
I have no idea what to expect.”
The producers of the show, however, have some clues to help fans get their fix.
Last season, Homeland had a big-screen premiere on April 20, 2018.
Now, Hitchens is working on a second Season 3 episode, which is due to air in October.
Hitchens has been asked about the Season 3 premiere, but didn’t share much.
“That’s the only one I’ve said,” he said.
“We’re working on it, but I can’t say anything about it.”
Hitchens also mentioned that a third season of the series is in the works.
“As far as we’re concerned, we’re doing two seasons,” he says.
“The only way I can talk about it is to say that it’s not set in stone.
I think we’re talking about a third, fourth, fifth season, and it’s something that will be very interesting.”
Hitchen also teased a possible spinoff.
“In the next episode, we’ll get to see what happens to the other two [Homeland] characters,” he told Variety.
“They’re not going anywhere.”
For now, Homeland fans can rest assured that Homeland’s Season 3 will air in 2019.
