When Hugh Dantry was a teenager he was fascinated by the world of action figures.
His parents bought him two and he soon began to develop a love of the action figures, particularly those from the 60s.
Dantry, who is now 53, said: “My childhood was obsessed with the 60’s.
I would sit in the living room with my dad and we would watch a lot of TV, but I would also spend a lot on action figures and toys.”
It was the same with my grandparents.
They would have action figures but not really much else.
I just loved them.
“When Dantry’s grandfather died in 2006, he started to collect them.
He was so taken with the figures, he had a replica of the original Captain America and Spider-Man figure made for him.”
He wanted a Spider-man figure, but he had no idea that it was Spider-MAN,” Dantry recalled.”
I bought it and I had it framed.
I thought, this is going to be a big hit.
Dantry said his father was always very open about his love of cinema and how he felt Star Wars was his childhood favourite.””
He was a huge fan of the movies and they were a big part of his life,” said his son.
Dantry said his father was always very open about his love of cinema and how he felt Star Wars was his childhood favourite.
“My dad was always interested in movies and he wanted to watch them.
I think he wanted me to watch the movies with him, and he would go and see movies with his family.”
When he died, he would say he wanted my family to watch his films with him.
“It was just a matter of time before someone else would buy them and sell them.””
My dad never bought anything,” he said.
“It was just a matter of time before someone else would buy them and sell them.”
The first thing that I did was look at the eBay market.
I bought a couple of figures, and the eBay price was right at the end of the day.
“The eBay listing is for a Lego version of the classic film “Hercules” from the 1960s.
The figure sold for just £14.99 at auction.
“For me it was like buying a dream. “
I thought it was great,” he told The Independent.
“For me it was like buying a dream.
It was an investment in my life.”
In the eBay auction I got a really great deal.
I paid a bit more for the Lego version but it was still a bargain.
“At the time, it was a bit of a surprise, but now I know that it’s going to get a lot more attention.”
He said the figure was one of his favourite from the franchise, and has been used as a prop in a number of other films.
“This is my second one,” Dancy said.
“You can tell from the Lego model, the colours are a bit different.
I love that it has these fantastic red and yellow paint jobs.”
A lot of my family are Star Wars fans.
They love the films and their favourite characters.
